Plant food
What plant foods (vegetables, fruits, cereals, etc.) are allowed?
Any plant food (vegetables, fruits, cereals, etc.) is allowed if these products are checked and free from insects and worms.
Plants grown in the Land of Israel are subject to a number of restrictions related to the sanctity of our country.
In their natural form, they are "neutral" ("parve"). However, when mixed with dairy or meat products, these plant products become dairy or meat, respectively.
